I read this and automatically I thought of advertising since I’m reading a book titled, Hey Whipple, Squeeze This by Luke Sullivan. In this book the author discusses about not giving up on ideas. He states, that an advertiser should be provocative, if you have an idea where you’ve questioned yourself can I do this, do it, go for it, because chances are those are the good ideas. This notion of ‘replace what if ?, with hell yeah!’, can even be incorporated into our daily lives and not just in advertising because many times the people who are around us have this sort of influence on us where they might questioned, doubt, or belittle our dreams, abilities, and thoughts and as a result they will leave us wondering with the “what if ?” and many of us accept this behavior from them…WHY? because the lack of confidence we have in ourselves. These ‘outsiders’ and I chose to call them outsiders, despite they might be close relatives or friends, play a role in our decisions because we let them, but is up to us, as an individual to fight back when it’s necessary and replace those fears and that negativity, into a more incisive and positive hell yeah energy.
