‘Hell Yea’, The New ‘Yes I Can’ !

“Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.“ — Mark Twain - HAPPY FRIDAY GUYS!

I read this and automatically I thought of advertising since I’m reading a book titled, Hey Whipple, Squeeze This by Luke Sullivan. In this book the author discusses about not giving up on ideas. He states, that an advertiser should be provocative, if you have an idea where you’ve questioned yourself can I do this, do it, go for it, because chances are those are the good ideas. This notion of ‘replace what if ?, with hell yeah!’, can even be incorporated into our daily lives and not just in advertising because many times the people who are around us have this sort of influence on us where they might questioned, doubt, or belittle our dreams, abilities, and thoughts and as a result they will leave us wondering with the “what if ?” and many of us accept this behavior from them…WHY? because the lack of confidence we have in ourselves. These ‘outsiders’ and I chose to call them outsiders, despite they might be close relatives or friends, play a role in our decisions because we let them, but is up to us, as an individual to fight back when it’s necessary and replace those fears and that negativity, into a more incisive and positive hell yeah energy.

In search of a job..

Lately I have been stressing out over finding a job since I just finished my internship on July and next semester I will only have 3 classes. My husband keeps telling me to just relax and that money doesn’t mean anything and that what matters most is that I’m happy.  He says, “Anyone can find a job but do you really want to be stuck in a job like  McDonald’s or working at a retail store and being miserable.” (He finds those jobs “demeaning” by the way. )

Even though my husband constantly tells me you have me as your backbone and I can provide for you. It makes me feel bad. I know were husband and wife but somehow I feel that I should help him out too. This is why I’m going to keep on trying in sending out my resume and filling out applications and hopefully something good turns up for me.
